Some Things To Note
- As of June 7, 2018 at 12:01 AM, burning outside the city limits of The Dalles and within Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue’s boundaries, will be limited to burn barrels from Sun-up until 11:00 AM. NO OPEN BURNING until fall.
- All permits that are currently valid will expire June 30th. Be advised that burning in barrels in the rural areas may be shut down prior to that day. Please visit this page or follow Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue’s Facebook Page.
- There is currently no-burning within the City of The Dalles.
- Burning, when allowed, can only take place during daylight hours.
As usual, burn barrels or incinerators are NOT allowed in the city limits by City of The Dalles Ordinance.
A $5.00 cost recovery fee is collected for Burn Permits. Permits can be obtained online (see below) or can be purchased at the Fire Station. Cash or Check only at the fire station. Credit Cards can only be accepted online.
Burn Permits are always required with Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue which includes the City of The Dalles. To obtain a permit you can purchase the permit online by clicking on Burn Permit above (Credit Card or Paypal is required for online purchasing). To obtain the permit in person, please visit the fire station at 1400 W. 8th Street, The Dalles. Credit Cards are NOT accepted at the station. Cash or Checks only.
