BURN BAN IN EFFECT

As of midnight, July 1st, there is NO outdoor burning allowed within Wasco County to include all areas within Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue. Please do not burn. Also be advised that if you do burn and you start a fire, you can be held liable to the extent allowed by law.

Budget Committee Meeting

There will be a budget committee meeting for Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue on Friday, June 9, 2017. This is a public meeting and the public is invited to attend. The budget committee will decide at this meeting to re-approve the budget or make changes as necessary. Agenda below.

48-Hour Refresher

Mid-Columbia is hosting a 48-Hour Refresher and this will be open to outside Paramedics. There is a fee of $350 to attend. To register, click the EVENTS tab at the top of the page and follow the link

Burn Information

  • There is NO burning allowed anywhere within Wasco County starting July 1, 2017 until fire season ends.
  • When burning resumes in the fall (date to be determined), permits are always required to burn, regardless of your location within the Fire District.
  • Burn barrels are no longer allowed inside the city limits.
