Burning resumes OUTSIDE the city limits

For those addresses outside the city limits of The Dalles and within Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue’s district boundaries, burning will resume on Thursday, October 6, 2016. Burning permits are required and can be obtained online (with Paypal or Credit Card) or in person at Station 1, 1400 W. 8th Street, The Dalles. Only cash or checks are accepted at the station.

Burning inside the city limits will resume on October 16 at sun-up and extend until December 1. Once burning resumes, burning inside the city is only allowed in small piles. By city ordinance, burning in barrels or incinerators is no longer allowed.

If you have questions, please call or stop by the fire station. Permits will not be available in the station until after 8:00 AM, October 6, 2016.
