				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify;">Mid-Columbia Fire &amp; Rescue will be accepting applications for the position of Firefighter. We will be establishing a list of candidates. There are no positions open at this time but it is anticipated that during the life of the list, there will be more than one opening.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Below are the Job Announcement and the Application. Applications are due no later than June 10th at 5:00 PM. Applications must be either hand delivered or mailed. No electronic applications will be accepted. Applications may be picked up at our main fire station, 1400 W. 8th Street, The Dalles, Oregon 97058 or may be downloaded (PDF) below. Candidates will be required to bring a completed CPAT (IAFF/IAFC) that is no older than one year from the date of the test, July 8, 2013. CPAT practice, orientation and testing will be available at <span style="text-decoration: underline; color: #ff0000;"><a href="http://nationaltestingnetwork.com/publicsafetyjobs/cpat_info.cfm"><span style="color: #ff0000; text-decoration: underline;">National Testing Network</span></a></span> or other approved vendors.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The test will start at 10:00 AM. Valid photo identification will be required to attend the test. Candidates who pass the test AND who score high enough will be invited to sit for an Oral Interview scheduled on either July 9 or July 10, 2013. A total of 16 candidates will be invited for the Oral Interview. Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications will be notified shortly following the June 10 closing dates if they will be invited to the written test.</p>
